Open the observation hole on the dust cover and observe the direction of rotation of the adjusting nut that reduces the brake clearance, usually clockwise. Rotate the nut until there is no clearance and the resistance increases significantly, then stop and rotate 180 degrees in the opposite direction to complete the adjustment.

Adjust the arm manually and automatically. The automatic adjustment arm is designed with pre-set brake clearance values based on different axle models. During normal use, if the clearance exceeds the limit value, the brake adjustment arm will drive the internal one-way clutch mechanism to reduce the clearance value by one gear when returning to its original position after completing the braking action, so that the braking clearance can be maintained within the correct range.
Automatic adjustment arms are generally composed of a housing (shell, liner), transmission parts (worm gear, worm wheel), one-way clutch (gear, clutch spring, clutch ring), control device (control panel, control arm, cover plate, rack, return spring), and worm pressing part (worm coil spring, thrust washer, screw cover, needle roller bearing, worm bearing), etc. For the adjustment arm angle stroke that occurs due to the elastic deformation of the force transmission parts after the brake shoe comes into contact with the brake drum, it will not be adjusted.
